Tax & Utility Rates

WATER RATES (ALL USERS):

Charges for water furnished by the City are hereby fixed at the following rates per 1,000 gallons per month, as registered by the user's water meter:

$14.55 for the first 1,000 gallons
$4.72  per 1,000 gallons thereafter

Charges for water furnished by the City to property outside of the City of Reno are hereby fixed at the following rates per 1,000 gallons per month, as registered by the user's water meter:

$29.10 for the first 1,000 gallons
$9.44 per thousand gallons thereafter
 

SEWER RATES - RESIDENTIAL:

Charges for sewer service furnished by the City are hereby fixed at the following rates for RESIDENTIAL users, based on the average three winter months (December, January & February) water used, as registered by the user's water meter:

$20.00 for the first 1,000 gallons (minimum bill)
$1.75 per thousand gallons thereafter

Charges for sewer services furnished by the City to property outside of the City of Reno are hereby fixed at the following rates for RESIDENTIAL users, based on the average three winter months (December, January & February) water used, as registered by the user's water meter:

$40.00 for the first 1,000 gallons (minimum bill)
$3.50 per thousand gallons thereafter
 

SEWER RATES - COMMERCIAL:

Charges for sewer service furnished by the City are hereby figured monthly for COMMERCIAL users, based on the monthly usage at the rates listed below:

$20.00 for the first 1,000 gallons
$1.75 per thousand gallons thereafter
 

TRASH RATES - RESIDENTIAL:

As of May 2008, the monthly fee will decrease from $12.55 to $11.25 (plus sales tax) per household for once a week trash pick up and bulk curb service added.
